Being a tutor I aim to develop in my scholars a deep understanding as well as self-confidence at exams and managing to deal with unfamiliar problems. My theory is actually based on the belief that learning occurs in an atmosphere of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and establish connections on their own. My practice has been that personal tuition has a special advantage to learners due to the opportunity to break down the students' own difficulties to learning in a way which lays the foundations for a thorough and lengthy understanding of the topic.
Student’s needs and learning style meaning
My approach depends on the student's learning style and needs. But, the basis of my teaching approach is inspiring children to think for themselves, applying existing examples as long as they can. |I feel that it is extremely important to supply children with a working skills and to give them analytical skills for improving upon this knowledge. Training a person to think analytically is at the core of the things a person should really withdraw off any subject course.
The most important contribution
Training students belongs to the most lasting increases a teacher are able to bring in, and it is a process, that I consider to be pleasurable and rewarding. From my practice, I discovered the effect of involving students with the help of patterns and of pitching information at a degree which assumes brainpower and yet not necessarily knowledge, mixing the unknown with the known in a combination that brings the person the disposition of possibility instead of that of impossibility that official and impressive approaches may inflict.
Using a lot of practising
I begin with questions the children are familiar with and move little by little to more challenging areas as their confidence is being raised. I work with examples and questions to verify understanding continually. I don't ever lecture to learners or tell them to remember information. Neither do I accomplish the scholars' homework for them!
I constantly involve exam-style as well as prior paper questions in order to review, work at and improve the learner's understanding and practice. I even give a lot of attention to a number of the less evident yet vital skill sets such as logical thought, essay structure and technique, and the helpful use of graphs and numbers.
